A Freshman’s Perspective of Homework

Coming into college, I was nervous to receive my first piece of text to analyze and annotate. In some ways, I have been preparing for this moment for 13 years through my elementary, middle school and high school education. I opened the link tentatively, and as I watched the cursor revolve in its loading position, I could almost see the years of my childhood education being wound forward from the past to the present as the screen completed its buffering. But as I read the text, I realized that I have not been thrust into the tumultuous current of college education, but rather eased into it. The more I read, the more confident I became in tackling the text. Staying calm, I grasped the tools that I used from school and accomplished the text that I was given.
